![]() Safavieh Launches New Collections, Expands Lines for High Point Among its wide product offering for High Point, Safavieh will launch two new collections. The hand-tufted SoHo Collection features 15 new transitional patterns that work equally well in traditional and contemporary homes. Made of premium New Zealand wool, many of the designs are accented with viscose. The new hand-tufted Bergama Collection features a group of 12 reproductions, which draw from Safavieh’s private archival collection of Peshawar rugs. The collection is made in the Bergama area of Turkey. ![]() Six new designs have been added to the year-old Thomas O’Brien line. The patterns are hand-knotted in Nepal using vegetable dyes, hand-spun wool with silk or 100-percent handspun wool. O’Brien’s new designs are colored in his own neutral palette to coordinate with existing rugs in the collection. Weaves include an unusual range of cut and uncut pile patterns and specialty silk piles. Motifs straddle modern and traditional genres with classic Art Deco linear looks, abstract Moroccan geometrics and lavish freeform florals. ![]() Also ask about the 9 new patterns in the Tibetan Collection, which now includes transitional carved textures, animal skin and safari patterns, New Asian motifs and a range of traditional weaves to 150-knot count combinations of high mountain wool pile and silk. Finally, don’t miss the 8 new designs in the Nomadweave Peshawar Collection, which are made entirely by hand by families of ethnic Tajik and Hazarah nomadic tribes. Safavieh’s programmed Peshawar Collection now totals 46 designs made of vegetable-dyed Ghazni wool, which come in eight standard sizes and custom options. Colors in the eight new offerings continue the trend toward lighter combinations with new shades of pewter, silver, rust and gold. |
