SAFAVIEH's
Kermanshah Collection is the revival of the oldest and finest Persian
rug designs, born in the ancient city of Kerman. Kerman antiques are known
worldwide for their fine weave, intricate and exceptional color combinations.
These
unique designs reproduce the oxidized, faded dyes and the dark outlines
of the century-old Kerman antiques. To bring out the high sheen of the
wool as seen in their well-worn predecessors, our Kermanshah rugs are
treated with a special herbal wash.
The
designs of our Kermanshah also take inspiration form the glorious Persian
traditional fabrics of the Qajar era.
Hand-woven
in India with hand-spun pure New Zealand wool on extra durable cotton
foundation.
