SAFAVIEH DEDICATES ATLANTA SHOWROOM TO MARTHA STEWART
PORT WASHINGTON, NY – Safavieh and Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia will introduce an
all-new 2008 collection of Martha Stewart Rugs at the Atlanta International Area Rug Market, January 17 to
January 20, 2008. The entire line of 33 original designs will be presented in a 1,000 ft. showroom dedicated to
Martha Stewart Rugs within Safavieh’s 10,000 square foot AmericasMart space, 4C1.
For 2008, Martha Stewart’s design team explored themes drawn from the diverse art traditions of Belgium, Tibet,
India, China, and beyond. The new patterns were inspired by American quilts, Renaissance damasks, and French
Art Deco silks. The designs were then reconfigured and re-colored to complement today’s lifestyles with
decorating tastes from traditional to contemporary.
"We are proud to be included in the Martha Stewart home decorating program: the coordination of area rugs with
her furniture, lighting, carpet tiles, and paint colors offers an important marketplace advantage to our
retailers," said Arash Yaraghi, principal of Safavieh.
"This is our second collection following our successful launch. We are very proud of what we have created in
collaboration with Safavieh," said Robin Marino, president of merchandising for MSLO.
Following its debut in Atlanta, the complete assortment of Martha Stewart Rugs will be displayed during the
Las Vegas Market, from January 28 to February 1, 2008, at Safavieh’s World Market Center showroom, space 101.
The rugs are offered in a full range of standard and custom sizes retailing from $500 to $3000. They are
available at Macy’s and at independent furniture and rug galleries.
